AThat prayer, that one there's like a gun. It's a. I don't know what to call it. Like a four line Shlok. Whatever. That's about Ganesh. Whatever. And he came on stage performing that. And then he's like, just want to start the show by say by praying to God for an auspicious start. I was like, acha, he's talking about what he just performed. Then he started performing on 5 minute full Ganesh Bhajan bro. Then there was like a brief in the middle of the show. It was like, it's been a tough few days for me and I think for the Indian music industry in general because we lost Asha who was like such a important figure in our music society. So if it's okay, I would like everyone to just give 30 minutes of silence. 30 minutes, 30 seconds of silence in her memory. Everyone got up within 10 seconds. Quiet. Auditorium. One uncle has shouted Jai Sri Ram. Then someone in response has shouted Jai Sri Ram back then someone else has shouted Har har Mahadev. Then. Then it took off. Then someone else is chanting Bharat Mataki. Jai. Shankar didn't acknowledge it. But then he started the show again. He's like, okay, thank you everyone. Now next song. But like 30 seconds. Started with jai sree ram. Yeah, satya. He played that Taraji Meeper song Ma in front of me. Manas, Tanvi, Bhakti. All three tears streaming down their face. Manus literally Napkin after the song. Paul should I face. I also have this video. So there are 14 of us and it was 12 per row. So all 12 people were sitting in front of us. And then me and Joksie were in the two seats just behind. All during the concert, every single time, it was a song they like. Not just they would get up. Every person would record. Look at this video.
BNow wait one second.
AOf course. Sharia, Manas, Tanvi, Jai also recording. Bhakti also recording. He was a Viking about to come on stage. So everyone's like, every phone was out. Like if you know someone's recording also Shaurya's dance moves. Yeah. And thank God it was only two because Choksi and I couldn't sometimes keep it in like we were losing it. The song that he closed with, I don't know this song. I don't know if you've heard it. It's called maston ka jhund. Have you heard it from bhag milka bhag. Okay, it. I have not heard this. This is the chorus. People were losing it. They had some choreography. They knew of this song. And mel I'm. I don't know the songs. I'm like what is he saying? Is he saying? And joke's like no, no, no, no way, no way. Pro mosh pet or bro. But yeah, you could tell this is the music that they really enjoy. Mansim Group they knew lyrics. They knew so much of like the choreography of some songs. After the concert they had like complaints. After having attended so many concerts here. Production value wise, I think this is one of the small least production value concerts I've seen. Audio engineer Jobi, how he has job, I don't know.
BSo it was not sounding good.
AShankar on stage with three backup singers, two women to sing the female parts in some of the songs and one man, Shankar's mic. It was okay because I think the audio engineer was just like I will never mute that mic. So we never missed him singing except I think a couple of times. Ek do baar kuch fak up wah. But otherwise mostly okay. The backup singers, half the time you can see them singing, you can't hear them. Audio engineer has forgotten to unmute them their mind. This is not like a one time, two time, five time. Half the time you have not heard what they are singing and like some parts of the song were like the women's parts. So you're trying to hear them sing. It is clearly their line mic is muted. They are visibly singing but not audibly singing. Everyone was noticing it now the audio engineer would clue in five seconds later, second line. So you would be able to hear her. But Itna to preparation. He should have memorized or I don't know how it works, but he should have a better system. So many times you would see like one of the singers like say something or like you can tell that they're singing something but you can't hear them.
BOffer casino.
AYeah, first time in a casino. I've never been, you know.
BWindow casino.
ANo. Hard Rock Hotel. I mean our hotel also had one. But we after the concert we went inside Hard Rock and Josie was like. I was like, oh, I just want to spectate a little bit. I don't know any of these games because there was three card poker, which wasn't the same as poker. There was obviously slots, craps, roulette though Choksi took me to craps first and he. I don't think he knew what was going on at all. Like we were playing on a machine and he doesn't understand what's going on, how something gets on, why he's not able to press some buttons. What are these buttons? What's going on? The crabs though. I was totally befuddled. Slots. Then he took me again on the machine. It's a lobotomy. Like I could see people around me who were playing also slot machine. And they were not here with us. Yeah, they had left. Their body was still there and they were just. Bro, people were lobotomized over there. They were not okay at the slots. Yeah, they were not enjoying it either. Not visibly anyway.
BYeah.
AThen when we went to the actual tables where IRL playing was happening, that at least looked like fun. There's some human interaction, there's some reaction. There's some like reveal and something, whatever. So I watched blackjack. Bhakti was playing blackjack. That was. I understood. Then Banis and like another guy were playing three card poker. I have no idea what was happening over there. No, bro, they were. There were no cards and there was only one round of betting. And you're playing against the dealer instead of making the. I don't know. It was very confusing, bro. Also because like the bets that Manas was placing, there was some anti. Some like side. Some. There was so much happening. I do. I genuinely, like. I just couldn't understand what was happening. Then went and spectated roulette for a bit. Tanvi was playing roulette. I feel like now I can't even say, But it feels like people are not in control of themselves. And gambling is literally for most people. I saw yesterday just that gambling people are not trying to turn it into like use skill or use anything. Like they have turned everything into the purest form of this is a gamble like poker just methoda building a hand or like multiple rounds of betting where you manipulate fellow players. And they had made it a pure luck game where you get three cards and then if the good cards you win the bad cards, you lose.
BPoker table, maybe poker.
AI mean not in the main area. It was all three card poker in the main area, side area, proper poker game. But I don't think there was a normal poker game. But it was huge, man. The casino, the hotel like USME Hotel, May concert, Concert overflow. Like the casino just absorbed that crowd very effectively. And despite dispersed it. There were like food courts and all on the upper floor. And we thought there's like three, four options. Like there's one Asian place, there's one sandwiches place, one ice cream place and one cafe patisserie type thing. We went, started walking towards it and we rounded the corner and it was as Far as the eye can see. Food options, like, it was just. The scale of the whole thing was massive. The food places also, they knew how much crowd they were expecting and they were banging it out like so fast. We got a. We got. There were 14 of us, like I said. So before the concert, we went a little early because Manas Newki there was food there. He was like, udhari, there's a little like pizza place we can eat over there. So we ordered six pizzas. And it was so fast. Like in the time difference it took for our Uber to arrive and the other Uber to arrive, but UTNE difference. The pizzas were ready. We reached first, so we ordered and Japtak pizza Dustrelo gay I'm Kharek. Told you three times. It. Tk but I guess it was a fun trip. Was it? Did I enjoy myself. One? Is any rite done over that ceremonial fire Havan puja types? Yeah, but with fire and all. And like Pretty Woman X ye desh ha vanuka mashup I feel was totally unnecessary. Those two songs don't go together.
BPretty Woman.
AI mean, the nice thing is that so many of these songs, they were not just performing songs that they had written. There were also some covers in there. I mean, obviously a lot of these like Bhajan type songs or Yedesh, they are not specifically written or composed by them. But even songs that are composed by them but not performed by them, they were singing like. I think Mitva is actually a song performed by someone else. But he sang it, I think. 8:30. The closers came off opener. Sorry. And 11:15 ish. 11:10, 11:15 ish. He stopped. So I would say Doghante to Aram sir. He performed. Sorry. He performed. But yeah, I was just impressed at the scale of the casino. Like there were enough bars, enough bathrooms, enough food, enough seating. Atlantic City, odd experience. And people are not happy, people are not enjoying themselves. And my God, baby, I don't think I can explain to you 90 minutes at night hearing someone else have sex so clearly that you can tell when the man has climaxed. And then they're taking a break and I'm trying to sleep again. But like in 15, 20 minutes they start up again. Like, it was so clear. The sound.
BYeah. How did you know Others were also
Aawake because next morning, at night, no one addressed it. Next morning, Bhakti is like Bhai kal yelo crazy. And I was like, so you heard it too? Everyone was like, yeah, she was screaming. She was actually screaming. Like, it can't have been unintentional, that she wanted, I don't know, other people to hear. I genuinely considered at one point, like, 90 minutes. I was exhausted. Also phone call, like, can you please ask them to keep it down? Ultimately, I didn't. Will you seal the whole thing with something? Edges. Edges.
BSpray.
ABut we ate at some very interesting places yesterday. We went to a place called Chef's Table in Edison, New Jersey. It's a Indian buffet place. And. And it was really enjoyable, man. It was like, there was a chart counter where you can go and get Dale made. You can go get, like, a hot pow bhaji. Then, like, by normal Indian main course, Chindian.
BSounds like veggie galaxy.
AVeggie galaxy. Veggie Galaxy to
BIndia. Indian galaxy.

I'm already so hesitant to watch this movie because I feel like it'll make me. I mean, it'll psychologically damage me about how much suffering we're causing and how I'm so complicit in causing that suffering just because of my con. Because I value the convenience to eat chicken almost every day. This is going to be unnerving.
